Returns, Replacements and Refunds
This is our furniture returns policy: what is covered, what is not, and how to raise a claim. Because every piece is made to order on our own floor in Jodhpur, the terms below are written around how solid wood actually behaves rather than copied from a generic template.
FURNLIV Replacement Policy
At Furnliv we are committed to crafting solid wood furniture that is durable and designed to last. Every product goes through a quality check at our Jodhpur factory before it is dispatched.
In the rare event that you receive a product that is defective, damaged, or incorrectly delivered — wrong style, size, colour, quantity, or malfunctioning — contact us immediately at hello@furnliv.com or +91 91667 60900 on receipt of the item.
Important
- We do not accept refund or replacement requests more than 15 days after the delivery date.
- Please inspect the goods on delivery so any issue is identified promptly, and note the details of any defect or damage on the Challan / Proof of Delivery.
- Only regular-priced items are eligible. Sale items cannot be refunded or replaced.
Once you notify us, our quality control team will assess the situation. If the claim is validated we will arrange either a repair or a replacement, collect the affected item, and deliver the replacement at the earliest possible time.
Our delivery team assembles each piece in your room and checks the drawers, doors and mechanisms with you before leaving — see assembly and delivery. That check is the best moment to raise anything, while the team is still there.
One-year warranty
Beyond the 15-day inspection window, every Furnliv piece carries a twelve-month warranty from the date of delivery covering:
- Manufacturing defects — a joint that fails, a frame that loosens, a drawer runner that breaks, a finish that lifts, or any other failure caused by how we made the piece rather than how it has been used.
- Termite infestation — if termites appear in the timber within the warranty period.
We repair where a repair is sensible and replace where it is not. Collection, repair and redelivery under warranty are at our cost. Because every piece is made on our own floor in Jodhpur, there is no supplier for us to refer you to — whoever answers the phone can find out which timber lot your piece came from.
Change of mind
Our furniture is made to order, cut to your specification after you place the order. For that reason we do not accept returns for change of mind.
This is also why we would rather spend ten minutes on the phone before you order than deal with a problem afterwards. Send us your room measurements and we will tell you honestly what fits — including when the answer is a smaller or cheaper piece than the one you were looking at.
Our buying guides cover the measurements that matter most: how to size a sofa to a room and a doorway, choose a dining table, and pick a bed. If you want something adjusted rather than returned, most dimensions can be changed before we build — see customisation options.
What is not covered
Solid wood is a natural material and behaves like one. The following are normal characteristics, not faults:
- Seasonal movement. Sheesham moves roughly 2mm across its width between monsoon and winter. A solid top is built to allow this.
- Grain and colour variation. No two boards are identical. Acacia in particular varies between pale honey and reddish brown, sometimes within a single tabletop. Your piece will not look exactly like the photograph.
- Colour change with age. Sheesham deepens over time; anything in direct sunlight will change unevenly.
- Small knots and mineral streaks within the limits we accept at quality check.
Also not covered: damage from misuse or accident; dragging rather than lifting; standing water or prolonged damp; hot items placed directly on a finished surface; unauthorised repair, refinishing or modification; and normal wear, including minor dents on Mango wood, which is softer than Sheesham and will show its history.
Most of these are avoidable with basic care. Our solid wood care guide explains what actually damages timber in an Indian climate, and what is just the wood doing what wood does.
How to raise a claim
Email hello@furnliv.com or call +91 91667 60900 with your order number and photographs of the issue. Where a refund is due it is processed to your original payment method, and your bank may take a few days more to post the credit.
Photographs help enormously. A clear shot of the whole piece plus a close-up of the problem usually lets our quality control team reach a decision the same day, without a site visit.
