The team doing this works for us, not for a courier. They handle solid wood every day and know how a jointed frame should sit once it is levelled.

Before delivery day

Measure the route in. The narrowest point matters more than the room — check the lift, the stairwell turn, and the front door. For large pieces, the number to compare is the diagonal depth, measured from the top of the back to the front edge of the base. This is the single most common cause of a failed delivery, and it is entirely avoidable.

Clear the space. Move existing furniture out of the destination room and clear the path in. Ten minutes of preparation saves an hour on the day.

Decide the position. It is easier to place a wardrobe once than to shift it twice. If you are unsure, mark the footprint on the floor with tape before we arrive.

Tell us about access limits. If there is no service lift, a narrow staircase, or a society time restriction on deliveries, let us know when you order so we can plan for it rather than discover it.

Timing

In-stock pieces are typically delivered within 5 to 9 working days to most pin codes. Made-to-order and customised pieces ship in 3 to 5 weeks, because most of that time is seasoning and finishing rather than construction. We confirm a delivery window in advance and call ahead on the day.

Pieces that need wall fixing

Anything taller than it is wide should be anchored to the wall — wardrobes, bookcases, tall display cabinets and chests of drawers. We supply the fixing and fit it as part of assembly.

Please do not skip this if there are children in the house. A loaded chest with an open drawer is far easier to tip than most people expect, and the fixing takes two minutes.

Fixing into masonry is straightforward. If your wall is plasterboard or hollow block, tell us in advance so the team brings the right anchors.

Is the furniture assembly service really free?

Yes, on all orders, anywhere in India. There is no separate assembly charge and no minimum order value.

Do you take the packaging away?

Yes, every time. Solid wood ships with a lot of protective material and you should not be left disposing of it.

What if a piece will not fit through the door?

Tell us the access dimensions before you order and we will confirm whether it will go in, or build a knock-down version that assembles inside the room. Because we make everything ourselves, this is usually solvable at the design stage — see customisation options.

Can you disassemble and reassemble if I move house?

Get in touch and we will tell you what is possible for your pieces and location. Jointed frames are not designed to be taken apart repeatedly, so the answer depends on the piece.

How long does assembly take?

Most single pieces are done in under thirty minutes. A full bedroom set with wall fixing takes a couple of hours.

Do I need to be there?

Someone should be, to confirm placement and check the piece over before the team leaves. Once they have gone, marks and mechanism problems are much harder to attribute.
