Building a bedroom that works

The bedroom is the one room where storage and calm have to coexist. Start with the bed, since it sets the scale for everything else, then work outward: bedside tables at roughly mattress height, a wardrobe sized to the wall rather than the room, and seating only if the floor plan genuinely allows it.

Leave 60 cm of clear floor on both sides of the bed and at the foot. Below that, the room becomes an obstacle course in the dark. If the space will not allow it, drop a bed size rather than squeezing the walkways.

Materials

Our bedroom range is built in solid Sheesham and Acacia, both dense hardwoods that resist termites and can be repaired rather than replaced. Every frame is kiln-dried before it is cut, which is what stops joints opening up through a monsoon.

What bed sizes do you make?

Indian standard sizes: Single (36 x 75 in), Double (48 x 75 in), Queen (60 x 78 in), and King (72 x 78 in). Custom lengths are available for taller sleepers.

Do your beds come with storage?

Both drawer-base and hydraulic lift-up storage beds are available across most designs. The gas struts on hydraulic beds are replaceable.

Is assembly included?

Yes. Our team assembles in the room you want it in and takes all packaging away.

How should I care for solid wood in the bedroom?
