This carved mango wood bed is the anchor piece of the Persia collection, built around a tall headboard worked with detailed carving and centred on a circular motif. The footboard sits lower, and the side rails are left deliberately plain — a contrast that keeps the carving as the focus rather than covering every surface. It is made in king and queen sizes to standard Indian mattress dimensions.

Proportions and placement
Size the room to the mattress plus the frame around it. A king takes a 72-inch mattress, so allow walking space on at least one long side and clearance for the headboard against the wall. The lower footboard means the bed reads less bulky from the doorway than the headboard height suggests.

Does this bed arrive assembled?
No — it is supplied for assembly on site. At 95 kg the components are substantial, so plan for two people, and check your access route before delivery day.
Is the whole bed solid mango wood?
The frame and carved elements are solid mango. MDF is used for structural panels, which is standard practice on a bed of this size and keeps the weight manageable without compromising the frame.
Will the white finish hide the wood grain?
No. It is a white-wash sealer rather than an opaque paint, finished with a clear lacquer, so the grain remains visible through the white tint.
About solid mango wood
Mango is a living material and no two boards are alike. Expect variation in tone across a single piece, individual grain patterns, occasional small knots and fine surface texture. These are characteristics of solid timber rather than faults, and they are why a solid wood piece looks different from a veneered one. Colour may shift slightly over time with light exposure and use, which adds to the character rather than detracting from it.

Why Jodhpur
Buy solid wood furniture in Delhi, Bangalore or Mumbai and there's a fair chance it was made within a few kilometres of us. The trade here grew out of Rajasthani architecture — carved jharokha window frames, heavy studded doors, latticed screens — work that demanded serious joinery and kept those skills in families for generations. Around it grew everything a maker needs within a short drive: timber merchants, seasoning yards, polishers, upholsterers, iron and brass hardware suppliers. A karigar here who has cut mortise-and-tenon joints for twenty years is unremarkable.
What we mean by solid
Every material we use is what it claims to be. Hardwood is solid throughout — Sheesham, Acacia or Mango, seasoned to 8–12% moisture content before a single board is cut. That drying step is the one that gets skipped when furniture is made fast, and it's why cheap solid wood splits in its first summer. Leather is full-grain, not bonded or corrected. Metal is solid iron or brass, not plated tube. There is no veneer, no particle board and no MDF with a wood-look laminate anywhere in what we make.

Made after you order
Because we build to order rather than shipping from a warehouse, changes are ordinary. A different length, a different height, a different finish, a different leather — these are conversations, not special orders. Most cost nothing; the rest are priced honestly before you commit. Tell us your room measurements and we'll tell you what actually fits, including when the answer is a smaller piece than the one you were looking at.
One margin instead of four
Furniture sold through a showroom carries a markup from the wholesaler, then the brand, then the retailer, on top of the workshop's price. Each of those is earned by someone doing real work — they simply accumulate. Ours goes from our floor to your home in one step. Nothing was compromised to get there; there are just fewer people to pay.
The trade-off, stated plainly
Buying from a workshop is slower. Delivery is typically four weeks rather than four days, and you can't walk into a showroom in your city and sit on the exact piece before you buy. For something you intend to keep for twenty years, we think that's a fair exchange. Shipping is free anywhere in India, and every piece is assembled in your room.
