Bulk furniture orders are where buying direct from a workshop makes the most difference. There is no importer or reseller margin in the price to begin with, and above ten units the manufacturing economics improve as well — same setup, same timber lot, more pieces.

Where bulk pricing applies

Volume pricing starts at ten units of a single design. It scales from there, and the largest savings come from ordering identical pieces rather than a mixed list, because the cost is in the setup and the timber lot rather than the individual piece.

A common mistake is to spread an order across six designs to keep a space visually varied. If budget matters more than variety, two designs in larger quantities will cost meaningfully less than six in small ones.

Who this suits

  • Hotels and guesthouses — bed frames, bedside tables, wardrobes and luggage benches, repeated across rooms
  • Restaurants and cafés — see contract furniture for the specification differences
  • Offices and co-working spaces — desks, storage and meeting tables
  • Developers and builders furnishing show flats or handover-ready units
  • Architects and interior designers specifying for a client — see the trade programme
  • Exporters and retailers buying wholesale from Jodhpur

How to order

Send us a list: designs, quantities, any dimension changes, your delivery location and the date you need it by. We come back with a quote, usually within two working days.

For larger orders we will make a sample piece first, at cost, so you can approve the finish and construction before we commit the full run. This is worth doing on anything above about twenty-five units. Approving a photograph is not the same as approving a piece of furniture.

Payment is normally staged: a deposit to begin, the balance before dispatch. Terms are negotiable on large contracts.

Practical advice on bulk furniture orders

Order the whole quantity at once. Solid wood varies in tone between timber lots. Pieces cut from the same lot at the same time match closely; the same design ordered four months later will not match exactly. This catches people out on hotel projects delivered in phases.

Add spares to the first order. Ten per cent over your count covers damage and future replacement, and it comes from the matching lot. Sourcing two more chairs in year three means a visible mismatch.

Give us the access constraints early. Lift dimensions, stairwell turns and doorway widths for the actual destination. Large pieces can be built in sections that assemble on site, but only if we know before we build.

Plan the lead time properly. Around four weeks for standard volumes, longer for large runs — most of it seasoning and finishing rather than assembly. Tell us your handover date and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.

Customisation on volume orders

Because nothing is built until the order is placed, dimensions, timber and finish are all adjustable at no tooling cost. Height and finish changes are usually free; length and structural changes are priced on request. See customisation options.

For hotel and rental use, specify Sheesham over Mango where pieces will be handled by guests. Sheesham is denser and resists the dents that soft timber picks up in high-turnover rooms. Our guide to solid wood covers the differences in detail.

Email hello@furnliv.com or call +91 91667 60900. Include quantities and your delivery pin code, and we will price freight into the quote — delivery and assembly are free anywhere in India.

Shipping abroad is quoted separately and consolidates well at volume — see international shipping. You are welcome to visit the workshop in Jodhpur to inspect construction before placing a large order, and for a bulk contract we would encourage it.
